Welcome to Zero Week on the TXHSSports.com Podcast! This week we welcome our new affiliates: Clear Channel Waco and KCEN-TV. Beginning this week, KCEN-TV will be airing an hour-long football show beginning on DTV 9.1 for the first fifteen minutes and DTV 9.2 for the last forty-five minutes. To start out this year’s season, four games were played on turf on Thursday night. These included: Waco High vs. Belton Killeen Harker Heights vs. Austin Henderson vs. Navasota Riesel vs. Kyle Lehman If your in the Waco area, be sure to check out the Waco High game. This is the first game for Coach Danny Ramsey. Ramsey comes from Cy Creek in Houston. At Cy Creek, Ramsey served as an offensive coordinator. At Belton, Coach Southern begins his third year. Belton is coming off of a 2-10 record overall in the 2008-2009 school year. Next week, we will hear from Coach Southern about what he expects this year. Friday night a majority of the games will be played. Cleburne of the metroplex will be coming into town to play Waco Midway. Midway was the 2008-2009 runner up champion in class 4A football.
